Giving You the Confidence to Create the Office of Your Dreams

Whether you’re looking to start your very first dental practice or to expand an existing practice, we’re here to show you the possibilities. We leverage decades of experience and knowledge to help you every step of the way, from financing and design to implementation and technical support.

Step 1: Contact Bill

For many dentists looking to start a practice, the first step is often the scariest. When you partner with our team, we help you cross over from the anxiety of the unknown to the confidence of the known though experience, planning, and meticulous execution. Not only will we meet or exceed your expectations, we believe this process should be enjoyable. We will empower you to create the office of your dreams.

We’ve developed a proven set of strategies for dental practice development and we have an entire network by our side — and it all begins when you contact us.

Step 2: Analyze Your Existing Business

In order to evaluate your practice growth potential, Bill carefully measures the current productivity of your business. The return on any investment you make in the business must take into account the facility that houses it—physical location, its size, the technology, and your brand identity. Are you are looking to start a brand new practice, uncover growth opportunity for an existing practice, or to invest in additional practices on the market? Bill has the ability to customize a needs analysis that will bring your unique vision into reality.

To begin this step, you may fill out our dental practice assessment forms. Each form is a fillable PDF—simply download the form, fill it out on your computer, and email it to Bill.

Step 3: Define Your Dream

This is the step where you get to dream and we take care of all the moving parts. If it’s possible, we will make it happen, and if there are limitations, we have the expertise to help you navigate around them, finding new and often better solutions to achieve your vision.

This is a good time to download and fill out the Patterson Preliminary Design Checklist. This checklist will serve as an excellent tool as we define your vision and move forward with the planning process. You may also want to check out our equipment galleries, view our project portfolio, or read a few client testimonials to see what other practices have been able to achieve. These projects are truly inspirational!

Design Primer: Choosing Your Operatory Layout

There are many considerations when choosing your operatory layout, including the functionality of the room, the desired atmosphere, clinician needs, and requirements and limitations of the existing space. Each option has unique characteristics, benefits, and logistical considerations

We listen closely to your goals and preferences and work with you to ensure the most efficient, effective, and comfortable layout for your practice. Select any layout from the menu to learn more and to view sample floor plans and renderings.

Operatory Layout Options

The Open Option

The open operatory layout offers a friendly, community setting and is popular in pediatric practices. It is also convenient for operatories that support both left- and right-handed clinicians.

We have created several open layouts over the years, including Stow Orthodontics in Stow, MA, Epic Lifetime Dental Care in Norwood, and Leonard Orthodontics, located in North Andover, MA.
